She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Wells; her parents, Hugh Purcell and Margaret Purcell (Jackman); and her siblings, Patrick Purcell, Hugh Purcell and Mary Whitten.

She is survived by: her children, Doug Codner, Cathy Wiseman (Fred) and Joseph Wells (Colleen); her daughter-in-law Barb Lucas; her grandchildren, Douglas Hughes (Cassidy), Nicole Codner (Robyn), James Wiseman (Emma), Matthew Wiseman (Victoria), Daniel Wells, Claire Wells and Tammy Lucas; her great grandchild Corrina Hughes; and her pet Manny.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Teresas Church (120 Mundy Pond Rd, St. John's, NL A1E1V1).
