He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip O'Leary and Mary O'Leary (Emma); his son Philip; his siblings, William and Kay Gover (Cliff); his nephew Stephen; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Mag (Tom).

He is survived by: his children, Mike (Steff), Shawn (Carol Ann) and Eileen (Kevin); his grandchildren, Alysia, Brady, Jordan, Melissa and Ryan; his great grandchild Emma; his sister Agnes Whitten (late Clyde); his siblings-in-law, Derm, Paddy (Roxanne) and Betty (late Ambrose); his nephews, Damian and Bud; his caregivers, Patty, Tess and Gail; Jeff, Eleanor Dyer, Fred and Lucy Conway. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
