We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2021, at the age of 84, Sarah M. Murphy (Torbay, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Patrick Murphy; her parents, Alex Pittman and Rose Pittman; her parents-in-law, Peter and Anne Murphy; her siblings, Alexander and Catherine; her son-in-law Fred Whitten; and her sister-in-law Carmel Pittman.

She is survived by : her close friend Pat Ennis; her children, Fergus (Tracy Lawrence), Cheryl Whitten and Derek (Judy Ann); and her siblings, Jim Pittman (Marion), Dan Pittman (Rita), Eileen Collins (Ken), Jack Pittman (Mary), Ted Pittman (Jocelyn Kane), Pat Pittman (Marie), Ray Pittman (Ita), Marion Conway, Brendan Pittman (Ros) and Carl Pittman (Wanda).

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 10th 2021 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A mass of christian burial was held on Monday, January 11th 2021 at 9:30 AM at the Corpus Christi Church (260 Waterford Bridge Rd, St. John's, NL A1E1E2). Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road on Sunday, January 10th from 1 p. m.- 7 p. m. following COVID-19 restrictions.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
