It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Josephine Devereaux (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on April 4, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her son James; her husband James Sr.; her parents, Arthur Stansbury and Annie Stansbury; and her siblings, Cecil, Frank, Bill, Sarah Stoyles (Sadie) and Bernice England.

She is survived by : her children, Wayne (Cathy) and Joanne (Edward); her daughter-in-law Cindy Devereaux; her grandchildren, James (Kelly), Christopher (Jaime), Wayne, April, Kevin (Alicia) and Amanda (Dominic); her great grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher; her sister Marie Gilbert; and her brother-in-law Douglas England. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral mass was held on Thursday, April 8th 2021 at 1:00 PM at the St. Teresa's Church (120 Mundy Pond Rd, St. John's, NL A1E1V1).
