It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wallace Thomas Clancey (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John (Jack) and Muriel; his brothers, John (Jack), Robert (Bob), Patrick (Paddy) and Greg; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Georgina Mitchell (Georgie); his cousin John Geraghty; and his friend Bruce Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughters, Vanessa and Lisa (Robert); his grandson Christopher; his siblings, Mary Dooling (John) and Gerald (Carol); and his brother-in-law David Mitchell. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Salmonid Association of Eastern Newfoundland or to the palliative care unit at the Miller Centre.
