He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Thorne and Edwin Thorne; his parents-in-law, Regina and Myles Campbell; and his sister Lynn.

He is survived by: his significant other Sheila; his children, Rhonda (Rick), Arlene (Pierre), Sherrell (Mario), Rodney and Darrin (Shelly); his siblings, Clayton (Phyllis), Norval (late Clare), Cynthia, Sandra (late Jim) and Gleniss (Paul); his grandchildren, Roxanne (Jamie), Ashley (Colin), Danny (Keisha), Jaclyn (Ryan), Kimberly (Jordan), Kristin (Corey), Stephanie, Danielle, Stefanie (Woolie), Jacques (Alannah), Andre (Jashley) and Amanda (Danny); and his great grandchildren, Noah, Nikolas, Aleigha, Mitteo, Jacob, Taylor and Hunter. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
