He was predeceased by : his parents, William Wells and Effie Wells; and his siblings, Douglas and Florence. He is survived by : his wife Gwen; his son Lee; his daughter-in-law Barb; his grandsons, Lucas and Liam; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Glen Penney; and his sister Doris Arnold. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
