He is survived by : his wife Nina Thorne; his children, Cordella Gillard (Clarence), Randy Thorne (Kelly), Danny Thorne (Brenda) and Carla Thorne Mitchell; his grandchildren, Pamela Hynes (Cory), Travis Gillard (Shelley), Crystal Duggan (Geoff), Nick (Christa), Josh, Alex (Hugh) and Brittany; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Jesse, Jacob, Ryan, Kyle, Summer and Logan; and his siblings, Madeline Smith (Albert), Margaret Choate (Keith), Ted Thorne (Rhoda) and Alfred Thorne (Lillian). He is also survived by his family and friends.
