He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Bourden and Sophie Bourden; his former wife Doreen; his daughter Cynthia Bourden; and his siblings, James Cheater (Dolly), Louise LeBlanc, Isaac Bourden, Marie Reininger (James) and Ada Bourden (John Winpenney).

He is survived by: his wife Maxine; his children, David (Loretta) and Catherine (Paul); his stepchildren, Richard (Krystal) and Treena (Christopher); his son-in-law Raymond; his grandchildren, Ryan (Katrina), Lauren, Stacey, Evie, Kaitlyn (Cadiz) and Thomas (Gracie); his great grandchildren, Lucy and Scarlett; and his brothers-in-law, Andy LeBlanc and Lloyd Burton (Marion). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.

Donations in Eric's memory may be given to the Central United Church Twillingate or to the Rink Road United Church Cemetery Fund.
