Hedley was predeceased by : parents, George Hurley and Winnie Hurley; and brothers, Wilbert and Lloyd. Hedley is survived by : siblings, Jean Johnson (Franklin), Audrey Tuffin (Carl), Melena Field (Randy) and Winston (Madeline); and sisters-in-law, Frances Hurley and Villa Hurley. Hedley is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in Hedley's memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
