With sadness, we share the passing of Gordon Grandy of Winterland, Newfoundland. Gordon passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Grandy and Max Grandy; and his sisters, Margaret Rose (Charl) and Maud Brooks (Clyde). He is survived by: his wife Effie; his sons, Roger Grandy (Angela) of Marystown and Jeffrey Grandy (Tryphina) of Winterland; his grandchildren, Damien (Sarah), Desiree, Tenika and Kolton; his great grandchildren, Gideon and Valerie; and his siblings, Ruth Ivany (Earl) of Shoal Harbour and Harold Grandy (Betty) of St. John's.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Home - Creston South (Peninsula Funeral Home) (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Church (814 Ville Marie Dr, Creston North, NL A0E1L0). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery (814 Ville Marie Dr, Creston North, NL A0E1L0).
