He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mitchell and Caroline Mitchell; his in-laws, Amelia and George Childs; his children-in-law, Lorie Mitchell and Terence Decker; his grandchildren, Holly Norman (Patrick Norman), Dylan Mitchell, Natasha Johnson (Logan Johnson), Kyle Decker (Ashleigh Wilcox), Shayla Decker (Jayden Kormish), Samantha Wheeler and Kris Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Abagail Norman, James Norman, Alex Johnson and Jaxx Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Maxine Mitchell. He is also survived by many siblings/sibling in laws.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the The Salvation Army Citadel (25 Park St, Woodstock, NL A0K5X0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
