He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander MacKeigan and Mary MacKeigan (Walker); and his brothers, Milton and Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy MacKeigan (Peach); his children, Todd MacKeigan (Shauna), Albert Bridge and Jody Wilcox (Sean); and his grandchildren, Rebecca, Shamus MacKeigan, Brett and Lucas Wilcox. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Cape Breton SPCA or Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Care Patient Fund.
