She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Porter and Pearl Porter; and her siblings, Bill Porter and Barb Doiron. She is survived by: her husband Doug; her children, Mark (Mandy) of Sackville, N. B., Lisa (Jason) of Warren and Greg of Fenwick; her grandchildren, Geoff (Vanessa) of Amherst, Victoria, Zachary, Nicholas, Kori, Carter, Sophie, Austin, Piper and Kevynn; and her siblings, Gary Porter, Janice Coleman, Vickie Topp and Jill Legere. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, caring neighbors and the many special friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10 (47 Laplanche St, Amherst, NS B4H3G9).
