With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Augusta Martha Hoeg of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Weirich and Emma Weirich (Hellman); her husband Norman of Nelson's Cleaners; her son Richard Hoeg (Sarah Bonnell); her siblings, Elsie Rushton (Floyd) and Herman Weirich (Hilda); her nephews, Herman Weirich (Carole) and Floyd Rushton; and her son-in-law Norman MacKenzie.
She is survived by: her daughter Norma MacKenzie; her grandchildren, Stephen Hoeg (Lynn), Rick Hoeg (Julie Bailey), Earltown, Paula Crocker (David), Jennifer Havers (Chris) and Michael MacDonald; her great grandchildren, Brittany, Alex, Rielle, Lienna, Paige, Adrienne and Maxwell; her great great grandchildren, Bohdi and West; her niece Marie Springhill (Bob); and her niece-in-law Shirley Rushton.
