She was predeceased by : her parents, William Brown and Margaret Brown (MacLeod); and her sisters, Audrey, Norma and Muriel.

She is survived by : her husband Donald Short; her children, Sally Murray (Myron) and William Short (Kandace); her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Shane), Matthew (Britney), Donnie and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Liam, Taylor, Blake, Bryden, Kolton, Zoey and Mason.
