With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doreen Alice Legere (Amherst, Nova Scotia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerard LeBlanc and Eva LeBlanc (Savoie); her husband Matthew Legere; her son-in-law Chuck Linney; her siblings, Armand LeBlanc and Jackie (Pat Estey); her stepmother Doris LeBlanc; and her siblings-in-law, Laura McArdle, Irene Legere, Madeleine Vautour, Suzanne Gauthier, Eva Gould, Andrea Rhindress, Ulric, Regis, Francis and Marc Legere.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Legere, Sharon Linney, Diane Kinnear (Robert) and Randy Legere (Heather); her grandchildren, Troy Martin (Dean), Matthew, Darrah (Michal) and Hannah Legere (Ben); her children, Chuck Linney (Shannon), Steven Linney, Nicole Smith (Corey), Lisa Kinnear (Sara Laurie), Lori Kinnear, Jakob (Jasmine), Luke (Miriam) and Ben Legere (Olivia); her great grandchildren, Isla, Cooper Linney, Thomas, Evelyn Linney, Logan, Luca Smith, Layken and Sutton Kinnear-Laurie; her close friend Charlie McInnis; her siblings, Sylvia Cormier (Roger), Eva-Mae Gayton (Mike), Lillian Roy (Denis), Suzanne (Doug), Bernice LeBlanc, George (Peggy), Gilles (Linda) and Roger LeBlanc (Kenda); and her siblings-in-law, Jeannie LeBlanc, Aris Legere and Edgar Legere (Jolene). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (63 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B1). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
