Edgar Joseph Legere Obituary

We announce the death of Edgar Joseph Legere of Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 89. Edgar will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Legere and Dina Legere (Fagan); his siblings, Mathew, Regis, Ulric, Francis, Irene, Laura, Suzanne, Madeleine, Eva and Andrea; his son Kevin; and his sons-in-law, Dennis and Craig.

He is survived by: his wife Jolene; his children, Patti Gail, Karen Ann and John Canning (Amanda); his daughter-in-law Janice Legere; his grandchildren, Janelle, Jill, Jodi, Gina, Morgan, Iziah, Jenna, Autumn and Emma; his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Piper, Kevynn, Riley, Oliver, Camron, Calie, Carson and Zorianna; and his brother Aris Legere. He is also survived by his loving family and many friends.
