He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hurley and Hazel Hurley (Cameron); his brothers, Doug and Jack Hurley; and his brother-in-law John Murphy.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Hurley (Charlene), Phil Hurley (Cathy), Joan Murphy and Marjorie "Midge" Wood; and his sister-in-law Starr Hurley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
