He was predeceased by: his parents, Demont Freeman and Vera Freeman (Wheaton); his former wife Carolyn Freeman; and his daughter Heather Freeman. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Mittl (Steve) of Essex Junction, Vermont and Pamela Brown (Glenn) of Agawam, Mass; his grandchildren, Keenan Mittl, Paige Mittl (Leif Flor) and Utah (Sheila Nelson) of Brookdale, NS; his great grandchild Kathy McKenzie (John McLoughlin) of Oromocto, NB; his grandson Bruce Nelson (Charlene) of Port Howe, NS; his former wife Lu Freeman of Albany, NY.; Gregory Cruickshank.
