She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Chapman and Mabel Chapman (Brooks); her husband William; her son Larry; and her brother Phillip Chapman.

She is survived by : her sons, Raymond (Dorothy), Hastings, Sheldon (Susan) and Warren; her daughter-in-law Linda Chapman; her grandchildren, Shelley, Karen, Rene, Tracy, Gillian and Nadine; her great grandchildren, Mitchell, Mikayla, Mariah, Shailee, Robin, William Wesley, Emma Jane and Kathleen; her great great grandchildren, Spencer, Jackson, Kip, Gage, Grace and Wesley; and her siblings, Sheila Darragh of Linden, NS and George Chapman of Amherst Head, NS.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

“Was sorry to hear of Hilda's passing, but she certainly lived a full life and contributed much to her community and her family. She was one of the most caring and unselfish people I have ever met. We drifted apart over the years due to living in different parts of N.S. She will be missed by her family and neighbours, but she has a place in God's garden. Farewell Hilda, and may your soul rest in peace.”
