Iona May Dowe Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iona May Dowe (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Iona May shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Iona May farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hunter and Jean Hunter (Duplisea); her husband Thornton Dowe; and her siblings, Barbara and William.

She is survived by: her half-sister Norma; and also Dr. Ralston Ryan of Weaver's Store. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
