It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jack Wood of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Chester, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Wood and Esther Wood (Thrasher); and his siblings, William, Peter Wood, June LeBlanc and Jacqueline Corbett.

He is survived by : his wife Kathryn "Kaye" (Irvin); his children, Kimberley Wood of Calgary, Steven Wood (Angela Downey) of Amherst and Sarah Wilson (Gene) of Amherst; his granddaughters, Regan and Paige Wilson; his stepgrandchildren, Rikki-Leigh and Emerson van Gaans; and his sisters, Nancy Simpson of Amherst and Jean Siddall of Moncton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Jack's memory to the Cumberland VON, Cumberland Regional Health Care - Palliative Care Unit or to the charity of your choice.
