She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Blackford and Harriet Blackford (Bennett). She is survived by : her husband Brian McCarthy; her children, Todd of Jennifer, Jill, Bob Angus and Lisa Lewis; her grandchildren, Hale and Marley; her grandmother Jane; her sisters, Pat Wetmore (Wayne) and Kate Blackford; and her parents-in-law, Creighton McCarthy (Christine), Mabel McCarthy (Paulette Foley), Gary Schaupmeyer (Judy Anonson) and Clive Schaupmeyer (Willie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and an incredible number of close friends.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Jane's memory can be made to the Cumberland Hospice Palliative Care Society.
