He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Marshall and John MacEachern (Speedy); his wife Irene MacEachern (McSavaney); and his sister Elaine Owen. He is survived by: his children, Bruce (Cathy), Brad (Charlina), Jane and Alison; his grandchildren, Amanda (Paul), Angela (Darren), Justin, Patrick (Maddie) and Lauren; and his great grandchild Dawson.
