She was predeceased by : her parents, Bertram McKay and Winnifred McKay (McCully); her husband Donald "Donnie"; her son Gerald; and her siblings, Carl, Kenneth "Teddy", Ronnie, Lena Blakney and Isabella.

She is survived by : her daughters, Joan Fotis (Andy) of Halifax, NS and Paula LaRusic (Mike) of Amherst, NS.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
