She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Grace Thurston (Cole) and Earl Thurston; and her brother Kenneth "Kenny" (Kathleen "Kay" Thurston). She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Rushton; her children, Linda Chapman (Shawn), Alan Weeks (Joan) and Kathy Dawson (Mike); her stepson Greg Rushton (Sue); her pet Callie; and her nephews, Alden (Ruth) and Blaine Thurston (Sheila). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Campbell's Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B4).
