He was predeceased by: his parents, Terrance Roy and Jennie Roy (Wilson); his son James Roy; and his siblings, George, Alvin, Leslie, Alcide, Evelyn and Carol.

He is survived by: his children, Julia Davidson of Lower Sackville, NS and Larry Roy (Jeanette) of Brookdale; and his siblings, Gerald of Leicester, Terry of Kingston, ON and Irene of Kingston, ON. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
