Patsy Smith Obituary

We announce the death of Patsy Smith (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 83. Patsy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Dykens and Lucinda Dykens (Roblee); her husband Frederick "Junior"; her sons, Joe and Timmy; and her siblings, Glenn, Betty Dickie and Joann Quinn.

She is survived by: her children, Sheila Oickle (Donnie), Margaret Herrett (Stephen), June O'Donnell (Derrick) and Randy (Angela); her sisters-in-law, Betty Froebe (Frank) and June Longshaw; her daughters-in-law, Sharon and Linda; and her close friend John Hachey. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
