Richard John Shay Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard John Shay of Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 13, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Shay and Doris Shay (Matthews); and his brother Lenny. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Skewis); his children, Leslie (Susan), Susan (Garnet), John and Jim (Amanda); and his siblings, Shirley, Virginia, Judy, Peter, Michael and Robert. He is also survived by Several nieces & nephews, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
