It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Daniel MacKenzie (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel MacKenzie and Eileen MacKenzie (Benjamin); his siblings, Faye (Thorton), Doris (Lawrence), Linda (Tommy), Ernest (Evelyn), Sonny, Jimmy (Christine) and Billy; and his siblings-in-law, Brian Deegan, Dave O'Blenis, Art Tower, Larry MacDonald, Harley Fowler, William Larade, Shirley MacDonald and Marilyn Fowler.
He is survived by: his wife Joan (MacDonald); his children, Michael Amherst (Alana Long) and Sherry Maccan (Glenn Stanley); his grandsons, Reuben (Lauren), Shinimicas, Jordan and Riverview; his siblings, Gary (Sarah), Shirley Tower, Ruth Ann Deegan and Marlene O'Blenis; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Larade, Carol Ann (Gary Doucet), Thelma MacKenzie, Ralph MacDonald and Al MacDonald (Alice) of Shelburne, ON.
