He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Pickering and Catherine Pickering (Gould); and his siblings, Frank, Florence, Dorothy and Harriette.

He is survived by: his close friend Wayne Tibbetts; his nieces and nephews, Shawn, Darren, Eddy, Doug, Tim, Peter, Mark, Robin, Becky and Leanne; his close friend Christine; his sons, Gary Wilson (Crystal MacKenzie) of Amherst and Frank Wilson (Nicolle) of Amherst; his brother Joe Pickering (Lynn); his sister-in-law Janet Pickering; and his pet Brucie.
