He was predeceased by: his grandparents, grandfather McLellan (grandmother McLellan) and grandfather Mills (grandmother Mills); his cousin Dawn Dempsey; and his aunt Nancy. He is survived by: his parents, Wanda Mills (McLellan) and Rodney Sr. Mills; his son Kolton; his wife Janice Coates; his siblings, Wayne McLellan, Gary Mills and Meaghen; his children, Kayla (Jason), Hayley (Brady), Ashley (Lucas) and Tyler; his grandchildren, William, Jackson, Lila, Lily, Isabelle, Skyler and Brooklynn; his nieces and nephews, Abby and Hazen; his aunts and uncles, Reg (Margaret), Mike McLellan (Amanda), Brenda Mawdsley, Cheryl Mawdsley (Steven), Bonnie Eagles (Michael) and Sydney (Wayne Mills); and his close friend John Firth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Campbell's Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B4).
