He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Comeau and Ida Comeau (Legere); his siblings, Elizabeth Landry, Caroline Mickie and Philip; and his grandson Chris.

He is survived by: his wife Vera; his children, Romaine (Denis L'Heureux), Michael (Vicky) of Fort Lawrence, Terry of Pointe and Chris "Chico" (Maria) of Amherst; and his siblings, Leonard (Mary Lyn) of Amherst, Bertha Emmett of Ottawa, Cecilia Waller of Dartmouth and Dorothy Smith of Dartmouth. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Frenchie's memory to Cumberland Hospice & Palliative Care Society.
