He was predeceased by : his parents, Amedie Richard and Emma Richard (Comeau); and his siblings, Tillie, Reta, Mabel, Winnie, Edna, Elise, Leo and James Richard.

He is survived by : his wife Elly (Fischer); his daughters, Deborah Richard (Ron) of Lachine, PQ, Henny Carruthers (Rob) of Chateaugay, PQ and Cathy Girouard of Chateaugay, PQ; and his grandchildren, Jaime, Rachael, Taylor and Steve. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Ross's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation.
