It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Albert Riley of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Lewisporte, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Oliver Ellsworth and Mary Riley; and his siblings, Oliver, Kenneth and Sarah.

He is survived by : his wife Tanya Hopkins; his children, Devon, Sierra, Breanne and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Kyler, Lily-Ann, Mylah, Presley, Kendra and Elijah; and his siblings, Eddy, Robert, Willie, Annie and Vera. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Sam's memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
