Shirley Doris Chapman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Doris Chapman of Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Black and Violet Black (Dickeson); her husband Ronald Chapman; her son Charlie; her brother Carmen; and her daughter-in-law Margaret.

She is survived by: her sons, Lester of Amherst, Brian of Amherst and Henry of Amherst; her grandparent Layton O'Brien (Maureen) of Sydney, NS; her daughter-in-law Jennifer MacKinnon of Sydney Mines; her grandchildren, Ronald, Susan, Laura, Erin, Nick, Sandra and Leslie; her sister-in-law Ruth Black; her nephew Jeff Black; and her niece Linda Black. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Shirley's memory to Sunrise Trinity Church or the Amherst Head Cemetery.
