She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Broek and Johanna van den Broek (van Drunen); her brother Gerard; and her son Patrick (Jennifer Chadwick). She is survived by: her husband Piet of Amherst; her children, Michael (Judy), Anita Spence (Darrell) and Iris Rodger (Brian); her grandchildren, Nathan, Jessica (Adam), Johnathan, Tina (Evan), SJ, Andrea (Randy), Michael, Julie (Sean) and Matthew (Jasmine); and her great grandchildren, Alex, Lincoln, Arwen, Zoë, Augie, Sean and Evelyn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
