He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Short and Cora Short (Appleby); and his brother Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Ruth (King); his children, Jackie (Allan MacAleese), Rick and Gayle (Brad Ellis); and his siblings, Barb (Routledge) and Reg. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
