He was predeceased by : his parents, Lovett Bohaker and Ida Bohaker (Phinney); and his brother Ronald "Buddy" Bohaker. He is survived by : his wife Cheryl Whalen; his children, Scott (Tammie), Kyle (Melissa), Chris Hyson (Kim Dill) and Terrie Kelly (Colin); and his sister Flo Godino. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

“We will miss having more time with Brian sharing some local news, hearing him recount the history of the area and sharing his memories of Heron Cove. We met him on a miserable cold January morning to look at properties..something we often would remember and laugh about. He told us then: "if you like it here in January, you'll love it in July".... he was so right! such a good man and such a good friend to us over the years Our thought are with Cheryl and his family.”
