She is survived by: her husband Edward Burns; and her children, Dan Burns (Karen) of Calgary, Alberta, David Burns (Paula) of Port Hawkesbury and Jan Burns (Jim Day) of Middle Lahave. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with a ninth great-grandchild.
