She was predeceased by: her parents, Hughie A. MacDonald and Cassie Ellen MacDonald; her husband Vincent Pitts; her siblings, Eunice Chisholm, Jerome MacDonald and Wilfred Atwell; and her great grandchild Teddie DeCoste.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy MacDonald (late Greg), Jerome Pettipas (Maureen), Afton, Janie Landry (John), Darlene MacDonald (late Mark), Pomquet and Michael Pettipas (Charlene). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the C. L. Curry Funeral Home (135 College St, Antigonish, NS B2G1X9). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter's Church (45 Old Trunk Rd, Monastery, NS B0H1W0).
