He was predeceased by: his parent James Alex; his daughter Shauna Lee; and his brothers, Douglas and James. He is survived by: his parent Marion; his wife Norma (Ogley); his children, Carolyn Saunders (Stewart) of Antigonish, Martha Brunette of Ottawa, Danita O'Leary (Jerry) and Peter MacNeil of Antigonish; and his siblings, Gordon (Heather), Wayne (Cheryl), Ann, Cecilia, Alice MacNeil and Debbie MacNeil. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
