He was predeceased by: his father Archibald MacKay; his wife Doreen; his son Dennis; his grandson Joseph; and his brother Jimmy.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne (Joey), Tanya, Lorin (Lise), Ottawa, Rene (Jodi) and Allan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Dennis, Kooper and Elsie; and his siblings, Adine (Ernie) and Jack (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
