He was predeceased by: his father Jack Laing; and his brother Steven Laing. He is survived by: his mother Ola Sutherland (Alec); his significant other Janice Kelly; his brother Jeff Laing (Penny); and his sibling's children, Taylor Laing, Hayley MacDonald (Nathan), Mackayla Laing, Jordan Laing, Melissa Horne (Billy) and Matthew Laing. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family.
