With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward David Chapman (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Black Chapman and Gwendolyn (Hylands); his son Paul; his stepmother Daisy Chapman (Corkin); and his stepsiblings, Gerene Roode and Gary Harrison (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Gloria (Smith); his children, Kathryn (Kevin Latimer), Shawn (Holly Hayes Ross), Michael and Mark (Sam Cheng); his siblings, Carl (Sheila Teed), Gary (Sharon Calder) and Dorothy (Keith Meagher); his grandchildren, Robyn Latimer (Jeff Miller), Jake and Jupiter; his great grandchild Jonathan; his sisters-in-law, Alma Kenney (James) and Carol Smith; and his caregiver New Glasgow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
