He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Brayley and Dorothy Brayley (Amon); and his brother Barry. He is survived by: his wife Janette; his stepsons, Jason Melanson (Crystal), Yellowknife and Chris Melanson (Syd); his grandchildren, Kolby, Jaxon, Yellowknife, Sylvie and Spencer; his siblings-in-law, Carol Melanson, Theresa Bonn (Barry Shea), New Hampshire, Kathleen Stahl (Ray), Judy MacDonald (John), Black Avon, Miriam Crowell and Michael Melanson; and his niece Ashley.

Donations in memory of Eric may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or a charity of choice.
