The memory of Finley J. Beaton of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 18, 2025, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Angus and Catherine Beaton (MacLellan); his siblings, Ambrose (Cathy), Martin (late Joan) and Theresa; and his nephew Darren Martineau.
He is survived by: his children, Carole (Todd LeBlanc) of Halifax, Michele (David Timmons) of Dartmouth, Shaun of Zurich and Laurie (Sean Brown) of Vancouver, BC.; his grandchildren, Ainslie Timmons, Aerin, Ian, Sarah Brown and Hailey Beaton; and his siblings, Angus (Marilyn), Marie (Ron Martineau), Alexander, Marcella, Kevin (Mary), Margaret (Alex D. MacDougall), Marian (Rannie MacLellan) and Malcom (Marguerite). He is also survived by numerous nieces and, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the C. L. Curry Funeral Home (135 College St, Antigonish, NS B2G1X9). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ninian Cathedral (121 St Ninian St, Antigonish, NS B2G2L8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Antigonish Town and County Palliative Care Society or the Antigonish Community Food Bank.
