He was predeceased by: his parents, Frans Maas and Josina Maas (Mennen); his wife Evangeline "Vangie" (MacLean) of Joseph's Church; his siblings, Francis (Elizabeth), John (Maria) of Antigonish, Frits, Hans, Louis and Cisca of Holland; and his siblings-in-law, William "Buddy" MacLean and Catherine MacKenzie of Antigonish.
He is survived by: his son Terry (Donna) of Ulysses, KS; his grandchildren, Andrew Joseph and Parker Faith Maas of Ulysses, KS; his siblings, Harrie, Anna of Holland, Bertha of Holland and Fransien of Holland; and his sisters-in-law, Anita, Nancy MacLean, Sanderine and MacPherson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
