He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Benoit and Mary Benoit (Cross). He is survived by : his wife Marion (Dwyer); and his siblings, Mary Ann Durant (William), Zabeth Benoit, Elias (Eileen), Bernard (Roseanne), Jerome, Florence Parent (Paul), Kevin (Pauline) and Rosena Broughm (Steve Green).

“I was So sorry to hear of Georges Passing i worked with him a Pictou County Glass for a number of years we became good friends during that time though i haven't seen George in a number of years i remember him fondly as a friend and able Co worker sending Marion and his Family My sincere Condolence's John Currie”
